Luis Diaz price confirmed for Fantasy Premier League – Liverpool FC

Luis Diaz is now officially a Liverpool player, which can only mean one thing: you can put him in your Fantasy Premier League squad!

The 25-year-old has joined the Reds in a move that could potentially cost £50m, making him the fourth most expensive signing in club history.

Diaz’s arrival came out of nowhere towards the end of last week and gave everyone associated with the club a huge boost.

With Premier League glory not yet out of the question despite Man City’s nine-point lead, as well as three cup competitions to play, the Colombian could have a major role to play.

The next round of league fixtures will be in the middle of next week, with Liverpool hosting Leicester on February 10, looking to avenge their post-Christmas defeat.

Fantasy Football players will no doubt be wondering who to choose for this game week and Diaz has now been included in the popular game.

It is classified as a Midfielder and will cost £8.0 million for those who trust him to deliver the goods immediately, such as confirmed by the official Twitter account on Monday.

That puts Diaz just below Diogo Jota (£8.4m) in the prize money stakes, while Sadio Mane (£11.7m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) are clear cut.

Whether including him in your side is a wise move remains to be seen – he has scored 14 goals and assisted five more in 18 league starts for Porto this season – with Jurgen Klopp famous for facilitating new signings to the team.

The likes of Andy Robertson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Fabinho have all been slow to adapt to the manager’s system and that could still be the case with Diaz.

That being said, both Mane and Salah have now reached the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations so both could still be unavailable for the Leicester game.

It would bolster Diaz’s hopes of making a first league appearance for the Reds, with his potential home debut in Cardiff in the FA Cup fourth round this Sunday.
